Anti-vaping activists and journalists had recently exploited the problem of eJuice bottles not having childproof lids. This problem was brought to light because of a few incidents of children getting their hands on the e-cig juices and unfortunately getting poisoned by them.
These unfortunate incidents are why the proposed bill, the Child Nicotine Poisoning Prevention Act, came into light. There was even support for it last summer by Democratic Senator Bill Nelson but the bill did not get much further than him. Now, with this new regulation coming our way, at least everyone can agree that childproof safety features are all around a positive thing.
